In 2015 Habanos S.A. launched the Añejados concept. These special vitolas, not part of the brand’s standard product line, are aged for at least five years in their boxes – unlike other famous special editions like Edición Limitada, Reserva or Gran Reserva, in which the raw tobacco is aged. In February 2016 the Partagás Añejados Corona Gorda was the fourth of these special cigars to hit the market. The cigar is in boxes of 25 available at a cost of EUR 14.80/CHF 19.40 each.
Tasting notes: The cigar has a razor-like burn – superbly manufactured. Woody, earthy and leathery aromas melt with creamy cinnamon sweetness. A harmonious, aromatic cigar. Mild to medium-bodied.
