cj_top25_badge_2016_no2For two decades, Hendrik Kelner and Manuel Peralta have collaborated on the Yamasá Project, cultivating tobacco on about 250 acres in the Yamasá region, north of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The fruit of their labor, the Davidoff Yamasá, arrived in July 2016. The line features four formats (Petit Churchill, Robusto, Toro and Pirámides) and is available in boxes of 12 or 14 cigars, priced at USD $23.00 (EUR 24.10 and CHF 27.60). It certainly is one of Davidoff’s most full-bodied cigars, and one of its most captivating recent releases. Tasting notes: At first, this cigar has lush oaky aromas, underscored by subtle sweetness, coffee, herbs, a delicate fruity sweetness and citrus freshness. There are also spices, cedary aromas and pepper. Medium- to full-bodied.
