Established in 1881, Tabacalera Incorporada was the first cigar factory in Asia and has been proudly Filipino owned and managed for the past thirty years since being purchased from the previous Spanish owners.
With the recent news of Covid-19 restrictions easing across the Philippines and international travel resuming, Tabacalera is planning a series of celebratory events in 2022 to mark the impressive milestone. Events will be held at Balesin Island and at their Divan Cigar Lounge, located at The City Club at Alphaland Makati Place.
Tabacalera recently appointed Pablo Argüelles as Sales and Marketing Manager to revitalize the brand internationally and bring the most premium Philippine made cigars to the forefront.
“With our amazing 140-year history of hand-rolling premium cigars, Tabacalera’s domestic presence is guaranteed, however our international presence will be rekindled through distribution agreements in the USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific,” said Argüelles. “I’m looking forward to once again helping return Tabacalera to the forefront of the global cigar community, embedding Tabacalera’s cigars as the original Manila Classic cigar.”
