Around 150 lucky guests had the opportunity to try in first-hand the New Regional Edition dedicated to Lebanon at a cocktail party at the Gran Packard Hotel in Havana on March 2nd. The Juan Lopez Adon is named after the mythical figure of Adon, also known as Adonis.
The new cigar is a Montesco size (Cuban factory name) with 130mm length by 55 ring gauge. This is the same dimensions of the well-known Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills that became very popular among experienced smokers. It is a limited production of 10,000 individually numbered boxes of 20 cigars.
Walid Saleh, CEO of Phoencia Trading, presented the Adon paired with the ron Havana Club Máximo Extra Añejo. The Máximo is the utmost expression of the Cuban ron culture with the production limited to 1,000 bottles per year and prices going around 2,200 US-Dollars a bottle in Cuba.
The official launching event of the Juan Lopez Adon will take place on March 18th in Byblos, Lebanon, that according to the legend was the birthplace and home of Adon. The box of the 20 cigars will be sold by 550 US dollars.
