San Cristóbal Quintessence Robusto Named Cigar of the Year 2016

Quintessence is the fifth line within Ashton Cigars’ San Cristóbal brand and was preceded by the Revelation, Ovation, Elegancia and original San Cristóbal lines. Cigar Journal now named the Robusto format of San Cristóbal Quintessence their Cigar of the Year 2016.
cj_top25_badge_2016_no1_v2Quintessence is the fifth line within Ashton Cigars’ San Cristóbal brand and was preceded by the Revelation, Ovation, Elegancia and original San Cristóbal lines. (For legal reasons, the brand is marketed outside of the US as Paradiso.) Master blender José “Pepin” Garcia from Estelí, Nicaragua, has once again gone above and beyond and created a cigar that we consider the year’s best. Priced at USD $8.00 (EUR 7.40), it also earned our Best Buy rating. The Quintessence line includes four formats: Robusto, Epicure, Majestic and Belicoso. Tasting notes: This perfectly rolled cigar is impressive in its sweetish coffee taste and dried fruit. The fruity notes come into their own wonderfully in the silky smoke. The light peppery spice is stimulating. Medium+.
