Dunbarton re-introduces Overseas No. 1

Overseas No. 1 might not be a completely new cigar, but at this year’s InterTabac, Dunbarton made a second attempt of pushing their latest cigar for the international market.

Overseas No. 1 might not be a completely new cigar, but at this year’s InterTabac, Dunbarton made a second attempt of pushing their latest cigar for the international market.

“We actually introduced it at last year’s trade show here in Dortmund, but most of our international customers are now, just a whole year later, taking delivery,” owner Steve Saka says. “It’s just the way it works. Every country has specific registration requirements and fees, in some countries they have to present samples and get government approval. So, to the international consumers, it’s basically a new product.”

In fact, he’s already got both Overseas No. 2 and 3 done.

“I’m like six years into the future,” he laughs. “Overseas No. 2 will probably be introduced next year.”

He describes the cigar as rich with a medium body, and it comes in one size, 6 x 48.

“It’s actually an odd vitola size, but it’s one of mine favorites. It’s like an amalgamation of a classic Cuban Churchill and a classic Cuban Corona Gorda.
