“My grandfather owned a chinchal, a small tobacco store, in Cuba. When the revolution happened in 1959, all of the tobacco stores became nationalized” explains Arnold. The family ultimately wound up in Florida. After some time in the clothing business, Arnold knew that his love was cigars. In 2006 he and his father, Ramón, opened up Serafín de Cuba and the rest is history. The shop has some indoor seating and a patio out front. Patrons are welcomed to bring their own food and have lunch while enjoying the culmination of the efforts of the Serafín family. I smoked the Sublime cigar and would put it up with any major brand that I have ever smoked!
These days Arnold has expanded the Humidor to include many great brands such as Montecristo, AJ Fernandez, Karen Berger, Cohiba and more! A slow transformation is happening that is changing Serafin de Cuba from just a local cigar store, to a humidor stocked with all of the currently most sought after cigars! Oh, the Serafin local cigars are still there as well!
In addition to cigars and coffee, there are many Cuban souvenirs available for purchase in the store such as dominos, beach shirts, full-brim hats and much more. Soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase.
