This cigar arrived in April 2016 in a thick, short format unusual for Padrón is the newest addition to the Anniversary 1964 series, which now contains a dozen formats. The Hermoso [Spanish for beautiful] is offered in boxes of 26, with two rows of 13 cigars each. As with all the cigars in the series, the Hermoso has two cigar bands; the second band features a security code to prevent counterfeiting. The box-pressed Hermoso comes in Maduro as well as Natural. In the US the cigar is priced at USD $12.50; unfortunately, it is not yet available in Europe.
Tasting notes: On the spot, this cigar develops woody and roasted aromas, ample pepperiness and, as a balance, an elegant sweet note. Piquant, meaty notes, leathery aromas and spice complement the taste profile. Full-bodied.
